QUÈ ÉS EL REVESTIDAMENT?

“Cladding” is made to dress your wall with stone without the costs of building walls with blocks and labour costs associated with them. You can easily clad your wall with your preferred material and blend it in to suit your environment in a more efficient and cost-effective way.

QUÈ ÉS EL REVESTIDAMENT DE PEDRA NATURAL?

El revestiment de pedra és una capa fina de pedra aplicada a un edifici o una altra estructura feta d'un material diferent de la pedra. El revestiment de pedra s'adhereix a un mur de formigó, maó i edificis com a part del seu disseny arquitectònic original. La part posterior de cada peça de pedra està serrada amb un acabat pla, que permet fixar les pedres als substrats adequats.

Amb ubicacions repartides per tot el món, la majoria dels països tenen algun tipus de pedra natural que es troba a sota.

Natural stone “cladding” is thin slices of quarried natural stones. They are taken out of the land and accordingly sliced into blocks and boulders – from these blocks/boulders, the products you see today are manufactured and made.

Amb molts tipus diferents de pedres naturals, que van des del granit fins a la quarsita, des del travertí fins al marbre, hi ha varietats de revestiment per a tothom.

Què és el revestiment de forma lliure?

Free form – These are small, medium and large pieces of loose natural stone with sawn flat back pieces that come together to create an organic wall that appears like it has been built for centuries. The definition of “free-form” is individual pieces.

Amb una part posterior tallada plana per a una fàcil instal·lació, les nostres pedres individuals de revestiment de paret s'enganxen a una paret existent, creant un aspecte orgànic natural i atemporal.

Freeform organic stonework is an art form, and the artist is critical in completing the ‘picture’ that becomes your wall.

No és un patró que hagin de seguir, hi ha maneres específiques de posar cada tipus de revestiment orgànic per obtenir l'aspecte adequat. El que estem intentant aconseguir aquí és l'aspecte que la vostra estructura ha estat construïda a mà a partir de blocs reals, segles enrere.

Si col·loqueu el revestiment com si fos una pintura abstracta o algun tipus de patró, convertireu la paret en una paret de pedra més estampada. (que està bé si busques aquesta mirada) en lloc d'aconseguir l'aspecte d'un mur construït estructuralment que està construït/apilat per un picapedrer bloc per bloc. D'aquesta manera cada peça s'adapta als seus grans, forma i color.

For example, If your stonemason were going to build a wall say 10m long and 5 meters high from blocks, the wall should be structurally stable, it needs to be stacked one on top of another so it doesn’t ever fall or collapse.

Quan es revestim una pedra natural de forma lliure a una paret existent, encara ha de semblar com si s'haguessin construït a partir de blocs reals, encara han de semblar estables. Tot i que en realitat és el substrat de la part posterior el que ha de ser estable!

Si no veieu la diferència quan mireu una paret de blocs i una paret revestida, aleshores heu aconseguit la cobejada paret atemporal que dubtarà que algú especuli si la paret està revestida o en bloc.

Armstone offers corners pieces of all the stone claddings which are available in pre-cut 90-degree pieces to give you that full stone, block look. The benefit here is that you don’t have to get your stonemason to mitre the corners, its best to avoid seeing any cut joints anywhere on the wall.

To achieve the true organic look your installer shouldn’t have any sawn cuts on your stonework. They should make cuts from the back of the stone and split each individual piece of the stone to prevent having a sawn cut on the face or side of the piece.

Quan es fa correctament, una paret orgànica de forma lliure pot crear una característica atemporal impressionant a l'interior o a l'exterior. Tanmateix, com passa amb qualsevol cosa a la vida, si es tallen les cantonades, pràcticament no té sentit passar pel procés. Una seria millor amb altres opcions més pràctiques.

QUÈ ÉS EL REVESTIDAMENT DE PEDRA SECA?

In the Free Form individual stone cladding range, you can either do “Dry Stack” aka “Dry Stone Cladding” which means that the stone cladding is Not Grouted (no any cement filled into the gaps) or Grouted. 

Some stones look good in “dry stack” and some “grouted”. Realment es tracta de les vostres preferències personals.

Some Natural Stone Claddings looks really organic when you lay them in “Crazy” pattern. This is where the pieces don’t have any even sizes or shapes.

If you are planning to do a dry stack you must plan ahead to have the grout joints tight or you if you’d like to grout you should use packers to get consistent grout joints for each individual piece of stone.
